Amarnath yatra Information
Pahalgam is Base Camp of Amarnathji yatra which stands at 3952 mtrs, 46.7 km from Pahalgam. The Holy Cave is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The ice lingam formed by water droplets, symblises Lord Shiva . People visit the Holy Cave during the scheduled Yatra period. Yatris can hire a pony of Dandy from Pahalgam.
Distances of stopovers from Pahalgam are : Chandanwari 16 km Pissu top 19.6 km Sheeshnag 25.6 km, Holy Cave 46 . 7 km.
All stopovers have facilities from tents to medical comps and langars, The trek is covered in 2 to 3 days. This Hindu pilgrimage is believed to be the discovery of a Muslim shepherd nomed Butta Malik who’s descendant still receive a percentage of the donations made by pilgrims. The Yatra Generally during June to August depending upon the Hindu calendar (Sawan Purnima)
Amarnathji Yatra : - Baltal Route
Best time to visit : April to October
Baltal, 15 km from Sonamarg at an altitude of 2743 m , is the base camp of Amarnathji yatra . The meandering trek of 14 k from Baltal leads to the Holy Cave . You can easily return the same day by early evening to Baltal where ample tents are available at affordable cost. Panies and Danies from Baltal can also be hired at fixed government rates. Now operate Helicopter Services for Yatris from Baltal and Srinagar during the yatra period.
Amarnath Yatra Packages
Day 1 :- Arr. DELHI
As you will be arriving on Delhi airport our representative will be there to pick you up. Then you will be taken to the pre booked hotel. Later in the evening you will be visiting Akshardham Temple & finally overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 :- Delhi- Amritsar (by train Depart at 16:30, Arr. At 22:35)
After breakfast get ready to enjoy the sightseeeing of Delhi. Being the current metropolitan and the capital, Delhi is also one of the oldest inhabited cities of the world. Basically Delhi is divided into two parts, New Delhi & Old Delhi. You will start your day by visiting Lotus Temple also known as Bahai Temple built in a shape of Lotus. Then proceed to Qutub Minar, Red fort, Jantar Mantar, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Laxminarayan Temple and Parliament house. After admiring the huge minaret, go to India Gate which is also known as All India War Memorial. Evening enjoy shopping & food at Connaught Place, Janpath & Chandni Chowk. .Evening at 16:30 you will be depart by train to Amritsar. You will be arriving by 22:35. On arrival you will be picked up and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3 :- Amritsar
Today you will be proceed to visit the Golden temple and then proceed to visit the Durgiana Temple, Jalian wala bagh & Wagah Border(Beating the Retreat) which is 28kms away from Amritsar. Return back to Amritsar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 :- Amritsar - Jammu (by train HTE JAT Express, Depart at 08:20, arr. at 13:15) - Katra (by road):
After breakfast get driven to Amritsar railway station to board your train towards Jammu, reach Jammu where our company executive will meet & greet and local sightseeing visiting Raghunath Temple Situated in the heart of the city and surrounded by a group of other temples, this temple dedicated to Lord Rama is outstanding and unique in Northern India. Work on the temple was started by Maharaja Gulab Singh, founder of the Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir in 1835 AD & Ranbireshwar temple Located on the Shalimar Road near the New Secretariat, and built by Maharaja Ranbir Singh in1883 AD, Ranbireshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has one central 'Lingam' measuring seven and a half feet height (7.5 ft.) & Proceed to katra.On arrival transfer to the hotel later evening free at leisure.Overnight stay at katra will be taken for sightseeing in Jammu in the evening transfer you to Katra, reach & check in the prebooked hotel. Get relaxed. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 :- Katra - Vaishu Devi - Katra (by Helicopter)
After breakfast get ready for darshan at Vaishno Devi. After darshan you will return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 :- Katra - Jammu (by road) - Srinagar (by Flight Jet lite, depart at 12:15, arr. at 13:10) - Sonmarg
After breakfast gets driven to Jammu airport to board your flight towards Srinagar, reach Srinagar where our company executive will meet & greet and transfer to Sonmarg. Reach & check in the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Sonmarg.
Day 7 :- Sonmarg - Balthal - Amarnath Cave - Srinagar
Wake - up call. We will transfer you to Balthal (45 Minutes drive). From Balthal we will take by Helicopter to Panjtarni. Arrive Panjtarni and Trek to (06 Km) Holy Amarnath Cave. Return back to Balthal & further drive to Sirnagar. Arrive Srinagar & check in your Sup Dlx. Houseboat at Srinagar & Relax Dinner & overnight stay at Houseboat
Day 8 :- Srinagar
After breakfast get ready to visit The Mughal Garden, Shalimar Bagh, Chasma Shahi, Nagin Lake and Nishat Bagh. Overnight stay in houseboat.
Day 9 :- Srinagar
After breakfast get ready to visit Sankracharya Temple, Evening enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake see Floating zGarden and Market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 :- Srinagar - Pahalgam (by road 100kms approx)
After breakfast transfer by car to Pahalgam. On arrival check-in to the hotel. Explore Pahalgam the valley of shepherds. Enjoy your day visiting the surrounding places of Pahalgam like Mamaleshwara, Tulian lake ,Aru, Avantipura Ruins, Saffron fields etc. You may go for walks or pony ride to one of the many beautiful spots around Pahalgam. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11:- Pahalgam - Gulmarg (by road 143kms approx)
Early morning after breakfast get driven to Gulmarg, also called as "Meadow of Flowers". Spend your day here witnessing the heaven on earth as it is known. Reach there and check in your hotel. After lunch you can enjoy a pony ride and also enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) to ( Khilanmarg) Kangdori/Alpatar (at your own cost), Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers). Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 12:- Gulmarg - Srinagar (by road 46kms approx) - Ahmendabad (by flight Jet airways, Depart at 12:45 and arrival delhi at 14:05, Than connecting Jetlite depart at 18:30 arrive at Ahemadabad at 19:55)
After breakfast get driven to Srinagar visit Sankracharya Temple & get transferred to Srinagar airport to board your flight towards Ahmadabad. As our services end up here & leave you with the memorable experience of the tour.
